Alpine Race Registration

U8, U10, U12, U14, U16

Tuition & Rates

Our mission is to make skiing safe and affordable for everyone. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and donors, we’re able to offer tuition assistance to skiers who require support. This assistance is made possible through fundraising efforts and is offered on the honor system to help keep skiing accessible to all.

Full Tuition
Full tuition is the price of operating the Abenaki Outing Club’s four ski programs. This price is what it takes to rent the hill from the town, set-up, run, and maintain the mountain for practices and events and fund our non-volunteer staff and coaches.
Payment plan available.

Partial Scholarship

Same as full tuition, but the partial scholarship option is subsidized by our fundraising.  This option should only be selected if you need support as we want to ensure our limited resources go to those who need it most. Payment plan available.

Equipment Rentals

To help us fulfill our mission, the Abenaki Outing Club maintains an inventory of ski equipment for all ages. We have a few different rental options from full packages (i.e. skis, boots, helmets, poles)  to single items. Our staff will work with you to hand select the equipment that is best for you:

  • Full Package (4 or more items): $150/season (partial scholarship $113/season)

  • Partial Package (2 or more items): $75/season (partial scholarship $56/season)

  • Single item: $20/season (partial scholarship $15/season)

Abenaki Season Pass

All participants are required to purchase an Abenaki Ski Area season pass by the first day of training.  Passes are purchased directly from Wolfeboro Parks & Recreation.  To purchase a pass go to:  https://www.wolfeboronh.us/parks-recreation

Additional Memberships

U10 athletes and older must purchase memberships with both USSA and the New Hampshire Alpine Racing Association (NHARA).

  • During the USSA registration process, you’ll be asked to select your “State & Club” affiliation. Be sure to choose “New Hampshire” as your state—this will automatically register the athlete with NHARA as well.

  • Once the USSA membership is added to your cart, a separate line item for “Division/State Dues” will also appear if the membership includes a NHARA fee.

U8 athletes are not required to hold USSA or NHARA memberships. However, if an U8 athlete is selected to serve as a forerunner at a sanctioned event, they may be asked to purchase an Alpine General Non-Competitor membership the week before the race.

New this season: Volunteer Worker Credit Program â€‹

The Abenaki Outing Club relies on the support of its members to help us host quality events and maintain a strong, community-driven program all season long. As part of our commitment to our athletes, we ask that all families contribute some of their time to help host competitions and events at our home mountain.  This volunteer program ensures that responsibilities are shared fairly among all members, preventing a few individuals from shouldering the majority of the work. Volunteers are needed to fill essential roles such as gate keeping during races or helping out at events like the Ski & Skate Sale. Each of these roles is typically considered one "Worker Credit".  By distributing the effort, we can provide a better, more organized experience for our athletes.

Scholarships

We understand that skiing involves additional costs beyond tuition and equipment, like a season pass, tickets and race fees. We're happy to offer support for these expenses. If the partial scholarship tuition or other costs are a concern, please contact our Executive Director, Scott Martineau, at abenakiski@gmail.com. We offer individual scholarships to ensure every child can participate, regardless of financial circumstances. All inquiries are kept strictly confidential.

The Abenaki Ski Team is funded entirely by dues and fundraising.  The mountain is supported through the Town of Wolfeboro, the Abenaki Outing Club and the Friends of Abenaki, which are 501(c)(3)s.
