Nordic Ski Team Registration

Beginner through age 14

Tuition & Rates

Our mission is to make skiing safe and affordable for everyone. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and donors, we’re able to offer tuition assistance to skiers who require support. This assistance is made possible through fundraising efforts and is offered on the honor system to help keep skiing accessible to all.

Full Tuition
Full tuition is the price of operating the Abenaki Outing Club’s four ski programs. This price is what it takes to set-up, run, and maintain the mountain for practices and events and fund our non-volunteer staff and coaches.

Payment plan available.

Cost: $225

Partial Scholarship

Same as full tuition, but the partial scholarship option is subsidized by our fundraising.  This option should only be selected if you need support as we want to ensure our limited resources go to those who need it most. Payment plan available.

Cost: $166

Registration Fees

We accept credit card and ACH payments. Please note: a 3.5% fee applies to credit card payments. ACH payments have no fee.

Practices

Practices are held on Wednesdays from 4:30–5:30 PM and Saturdays from 12:30–1:30 PM. (Yes—this schedule allows Nordic athletes to also participate in Alpine and Freestyle programs!)

Equipment Rentals

Thanks to the generosity of The Killington World Cup Foundation, Nordic equipment is available to participants at no cost!  Your coach will help you with equipment selections and coordinate pickup.

Abenaki Season Pass

All Nordic participants are required to purchase a Wolfeboro Cross Country Ski Association season pass by the first practice and can be purchased here: https://www.wolfeboroxc.org/trail-passes.  An Abenaki season pass is not required.

Other Memberships

A New England Nordic Ski Association (NENSA) membership is encouraged but not required to support the Nordic Community in New England.  A NENSA membership would required if you chose to events such as the Bill Koch League Festival.

New this season: Volunteer Worker Credit Program â€‹

The Abenaki Outing Club relies on the support of its members to help us host quality events and maintain a strong, community-driven program all season long. As part of our commitment to our athletes, we ask that all families contribute some of their time to help host competitions and events at our home mountain.  This volunteer program ensures that responsibilities are shared fairly among all members, preventing a few individuals from shouldering the majority of the work. Volunteers are needed to fill essential roles such as assisting with timing at home events or helping out at the Ski & Skate Sale. Each of these roles is typically considered one "Worker Credit".  By distributing the effort, we can provide a better, more organized experience for our athletes.

Scholarships

We understand that skiing involves additional costs beyond tuition and equipment, like season passes and fees. We're happy to offer support for these expenses. If the partial scholarship tuition or other costs are a concern, please contact our Executive Director, Scott Martineau, at abenakiski@gmail.com. We offer individual scholarships to ensure every child can participate, regardless of financial circumstances. All inquiries are kept strictly confidential.

The Abenaki Ski Team is funded entirely by dues and fundraising.  The mountain is supported through the Town of Wolfeboro, the Abenaki Outing Club and the Friends of Abenaki, which are 501(c)(3)s.
