The details
- Five Saturdays in January and February. Fifty minutes a lesson.
- Three start times: 8:00, 9:00 and 10:00am. You register for one.
- Up to 20 children a class, about five children to an instructor.
- Skills: getting comfortable in the equipment, moving and skating on skis, snowplow turns and stops, riding the kiddie rope tow.
- Bring skis, boots and a helmet. No poles. Seasonal rentals through the club's partnership with Ski Works in Ossipee, NH.
- Children should be dressed and ready five minutes before the class starts, so the group can begin on time.
- Managing the gear is tiring at this age. Try not to book anything else that morning.
- Abenaki is closed to the public until 11am, so every Learn to Ski session is just our small group on the kiddie hill.

One of his favorite parts of coaching Learn to Ski is watching a first-time skier progress from never having been on skis to confidently riding the rope tow in just FIVE weeks. This season, he's looking forward to working with athletes on the new Alpine Development Team, helping young skiers build their skills and confidence. A PSIA Level 1 certified instructor, USSS Level 100 coach, and Abenaki Outing Club Board Member, he is passionate about sharing his love of skiing with the next generation of Abenaki athletes!
